We are all busy in a massive distraction. 50% of humanity doesn’t have a mobile phone, they are still “distracted” with surviving, while the other luckier 50% are busy with mortgages, paying bills, trying to have fun, etc.
As Thomas Jefferson said: “the price of freedom is eternal vigilance”.
Even better, Jesus told: “Love your neighbor as yourself”.
We can all give to others everyday in our lives if we are vigilant and looking around. It doesn’t matter your profession or what your work is, you can always give something if you’re awake!
Last but not least, a quote from my favorite author:
“With your way of being, you must give to your neighbor! Not, incidentally, with money or goods. For then the poor would be deprived of the possibility of giving. And in this way of being, in this “giving yourself” in socializing with others, in the consideration, in the respect that you spontaneously offer him, there is the “loving” that Jesus tells us about, there is also the help you give to your neighbor, because in that he becomes able to change himself or go on upwards, because in that he can strengthen himself.”

Olavo, thank you for your thoughtful comment. As you quoted Jesus and as I have been on my journey I have come to realise that Jesus was neither fictitious nor the son of an illusive God but rather a fully awakened or enlightened being. We are all an expression of God, which is universal consciousness, and God is in all of us. There is a Jesus in the making in all of us and when Jesus spoke about his Father, it wasn't literal but Father is the universal mind or consciousness which we are all an expression of. We can all wake up to our true nature and when we do, we will be able to heal which is instant manifestation just as Jesus did. You might enjoy this book that powerfully illustrates who we truly are and how to live it: Three Magic Words. Sending you love.
Thanks for your answer and book recommendation Vincent!
I disagree with you regarding Jesus and wouldn’t dare to compare other humans with him…
The Divine Trinity is present in the universe in all its grandeur and iron laws that govern our material and extra-material world. There are things that our limited capacity of understanding is not yet able to comprehend because it is stuck in the concept of space and time.
I agree with you - we have a very limited understanding of who we truly are. And I believe we have the capacity to dramatically extend it once we move out of the mind and connecting with higher realms. This is what the book is about. If you read it, I'd love to hear what came up for you. To me it was a very powerful book.
